Scoutify is owned and operated by Scoutify DM Ltd. Scoutify are committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of its members; we comply wholeheartedly with current data protection legislation and regulate our activities under UK statute and jurisdiction.
When you register as a member of Scoutify we will ask you to identify yourself (that is to say provide details about you that identifies you specifically) and other information about your professional history. Information such as your demographics, gender, post code and location; plus any payment information for optimization or premium member services (typically, credit card account information) and certain information about your preferences and interests which will also be required in order to supply our services. This policy explains how we collect that information, how we use YOUR data and how it is protected. It shall detail how we intend to respect member information and privacy, in other words what you can expect us to and not to do with YOUR data. All data we receive and collate is bound by the terms of this policy.

Scoutify along with our affiliates and third party vendors captures information about you in a variety of ways using a variety of technologies. Some data is captured directly and some passively with the use of cookies or web beacons. By direct collection, we mean data that is initially submitted through the registration process and when you complete a profile. This data is stored on our databases and used in accordance with this policy.
2.1 Cookies
A cookie is a text file that is stored in your computer’s memory temporarily (a “session” cookie) or placed on your hard drive (a “persistent” cookie) by a web page server to track the pages you view on our site. Cookies do not carry viruses, they are used to recognise you, your preferences and identify your browser , operating system & IP address. 2.2 Web Beacons
The Scoutify web pages and/or emails may sometimes contain small undetected graphic images known as web beacons (also known as single-pixel gifs). Web beacons allow us to do things like count the number of users who have visited, monitor how users navigate to our service or count the open rates to our e-communications (how many e-mails sent to number actually opened).
Web beacons are not used to access identifiable data but more so to compile aggregated statistics about our web site usage. 2.3 External Sources
Scoutify may also receive information about you from third parties. In addition you may choose to engage with an Scoutify application or feature such as a widget through which you allow us through a third party to collect or share information about you. That data will be subject to our privacy policy exclusively but should the third party allow you to remove the feature Scoutify will no longer collect information about you. Scoutify reserve the right to retain and use any information previously collected in accordance to this policy.
2.4 Embedded Scripts
Scoutify may also use an embedded script to collect information about your interactions with the website i.e such as the links you click on. Embedded scripts are useful to interpret your behavior on the site and determine graphic images or styles.
3.0 Default Settings & Visibility
Scoutify job listings are publicly visible to everyone on the internet because Scoutify makes search results and profiles available for indexing on search engines.
4.0 Data Usage
In accepting our terms and conditions you are authorising Scoutify to collect, store, and use in accordance with this policy all information that you provide along with the information we collect. Scoutify will store and display certain information from your current profile (for example, your first and last name, email address, current town or city, your work history and education, your profile picture, user ID number and demographic information, as well as any other information that you make public in accordance with the privacy permissions you have granted. We do this primarily to match and engage you with and/or in building your professional network, with whom we also have access to personal and professional data. In other words the personal, usage and tracking data (commonly known as analytics) we collect is primarily used to help us network members through our website and/or associated marketing (i.e. e-newsletters or connection invites) both privately and publicly.
4.1 Service Provision
By registering with Scoutify, under the terms of this policy you are consenting to us using your personal information to provide a basic level of services such as supplying meaningful candidates and offers, also for connection recommendations and/or premium services. We may also supplement or combine the information we collect with records from third parties. This is also in order to provide you with information on relevant premium services. We may provide information to service providers that help us bring you to our services i.e. we may use third parties to host the Scoutify website, send out email updates or process payments through a third party, or provide search results or sponsored links to suit. If you purchase any of our services, our billing partner will receive billing and financial information (such as your credit card numbers), which are necessary to process the charges. This information may also include your postal and e-mail addresses depending on your payment method.
4.3 Network Activity
Scoutify will use your data to update you regarding the activity of your listings, and to provide you with professional opportunities and enable you to take surveys or polls; and to send you promotional messages on behalf or on behalf of our associates. You will always be able to opt out of receiving promotional messages by clicking unsubscribe in the message. If you disclose information to Scoutify in a poll or survey, third parties may use the results from these activities in their recruiting efforts.
Providers who are members will also be able to contact you by sending you messages to qualify you for business or career opportunities, request introductions to your network, and collaborate with you on employment or business opportunities.
4.5 Third Parties
It is the Scoutify policy not to share your data without prior consent, that is to say sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal data to third parties for purposes of direct marketing. Scoutify do not distribute your personal or tracking data to third party suppliers unless in situations of being able to support Scoutify services and our service offerings i.e. with a credit card or merchant handlers, safeguarding, with compliance with the law i.e. at the request of government authorities conducting an investigations. This also applies in circumstances were we may be obligated to comply with a legal obligation, in response to an emergency, or to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of third parties or the public. In situations of safeguarding or copyright infringement we may also use device identifiers to identify users in cooperation with copyright owners, ISP’s, or law enforcement agencies. These disclosures may be conducted with acquiring prior consent.
There may be occasions were you could be presented with an opportunity to receive information and/or marketing offers from third parties or members. If you consent prior your information will be shared and disclosed to that third party (or parties) and will be subject to the privacy policy and practices of that third party. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of third parties that appear on the site, and, if you later decide that you no longer want to receive communications from a third party, you will need to contact that third party directly. Scoutify does not take responsibility or liability for members or non-members contacting you with service or product offerings as a result of information being displayed on the website.
We may share non-personal information, such as aggregated user statistics with third parties for a variety of purposes and at our sole discretion. We only do so in such a way that no individual user is specifically identified or linked to any specific action or information.
4.7 Intel Reports
In order to generally provide our services to our users free of charge, we offer special services to providers to help recruit, generate sales, find business partners, and other associated leads. We do this through collecting market intelligence, market analysis and aggregated business information. In such cases Scoutify will not grant providers or corporate customers direct access to your data however your data and analytics may support a collective body of service to providers.
Please be aware that we collate these reports alongside network advertisers, ad agencies, third party traffic measurement services and other vendors to provide us with information on traffic data for the site. Such reports also help us to serve our advertising and promotional efforts on other web sites, third party applications and across the internet.
4.6 Internal Research & Contact with Members
Scoutify may use your information for internal research purposes that help us to improve services and/or business processes. If necessary we may choose to contact you directly by letter, email or telephone. Direct contact may be necessary to gather your thoughts about us or in case of responding to customer support inquiries.
4.8 Advertising
Data is permitted for use and collection for our own advertising and marketing. Under this policy collection of data for these purposes allows for third party associates, data handlers or tracking vendors to provide us with information regarding your use of the Scoutify website and the effectiveness of any advertising campaign i.e. if you click on a Scoutify advertisement information is collected on which advertisement you clicked on and where you were viewing the advertisement. When you are using the internet you may come across other websites or online services or tools that are operated and controlled by third parties beyond our control. Some Scoutify content and widgets included on web pages and web sites by third parties not directly associated with us are beyond our control. These third parties may independently collect data about you and Scoutify are not responsible or held liable for the privacy practices of any third party.

Scoutify reserves the right to disclose and transfer user information, including personal information, in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, restructuring, the sale of certain stock and/or assets, or other corporate change during the course of any due diligence process.
5.0 Data Security
Scoutify implements commercially reasonable security measures to protect the security of your information both online and offline. Scoutify are committed to the protection of customer information, i.e. when you sign into your account or enter payment information such as a credit card number when making a transaction, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (“SSL”).
While we take reasonable precautions against possible security breaches of our website and our customer databases and records, no website or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will NEVER occur. Scoutify reserves the right to revise and modify this policy from time to time without prior notice and any changes will be effective upon posting. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by placing a prominent notice on the

7.0 Miscellaneous Provisions

If any provision of this policy is held as invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect without prejudice, restriction or limitation.
